Compensation Manager

The Talent Company are pleased to be partnering with a global financial institution to hire a Compensation Manager.

Responsibilities:
Based out of their downtown Toronto office, the Compensation Manager will be responsible for:
  • Serving as primary advisor and the single point of contact for your client group in regards to all executive and employee programs including base pay, annual bonus, equity, commission and other incentive programs.
  • Leading projects regarding the design, development and maintenance of compensation programs for your assigned area of the business.
  • Preparing incentive pool funding forecasts.
  • Applying your market and business knowledge to identify and address compensation issues and opportunities and influence business leaders accordingly.
  • Conducting governance reviews. Ensuring compensation programs and practices comply with internal philosophies and policies as well as legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Developing principles and approaches that provide solutions for the business and/or improves the overall function of the department.
  • Partnering with other compensation, total rewards and HR team members as well as your key stakeholders within the business.
  • Managing a small team of Analysts/Consultants (2-3 direct reports).
 
Requirements:
To successfully step in to this role you will have:
  • Compensation expertise that encompasses a broad range of compensation programs including Executive, non-Executive and sales incentive plans.
  • Design experience including market research, statistical analysis and business case presentation. Experience designing sales incentive plans is preferred.
  • People management experience.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability advise, partner and influence decision making.
