Our client, a national fast growing health services organization has partnered with The Talent Company to help recruit for a Senior Manager, Information Security. In this newly created role, this individual will build capability to ensure the company, employee and client information is secure. In this exciting role as an important member of the Corporate IT leadership team, they will ultimately ensure that organization meets both business and client service needs safely, securely and effectively.
Reporting to the CIO, the Senior Manager, Information Security will oversee a portfolio encompassing Risk Assessments, Compliance and Governance for the organization – across the organization and it relates to information security. As a leader, you’ll see to the creation and maintenance of policy regarding all information security corporate-wide, and work closely with all IT leads in defining standards and architecture that supports security capability. With the goal of minimizing risk, avoiding breaches and maximizing security, you will manage audits, conduct penetration testing and vulnerability scans across the company, and actively participates in setting up and maintaining security monitoring systems.

  • Develop and maintain Information Security policy
  • Perform regular iterative updates to policy as well as quarterly policy reviews
  • Provide policy consultation outside of Information Security
  • Perform internal audits and assist with external audits
  • Advise on security for RFPs
  • Define internal standards for security
  • Address external security standards through internal alignment
  • Drive the creation and maintenance of a standards-compliant security program
  • Manage and/or maintain SIEM, IDS & IPS tools in collaboration with IT colleagues
  • Consistently research and identify new security products that continues to evolve the organizations capability
  • Ensure that penetration testing and vulnerability scanning are carried out on a regular basis
  • 7 to 10 years of overall Information Technology experience within fast growing, agile environments
  • A minimum of 5 years Information Security experience, of which a minimum of 3 years at the senior and/or management level
  • Experience as a Project Manager and ideally with a PMP and CISSP certification
  • Possess a college or university degree in IT or a related field
  • Extensive experience within IT Infrastructure with a focus on Information Security, penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with a clear ability to influence, provoke thinking based on fact and data and generate consensus
  • Be analytical, detail-oriented and resourceful, able to adapt, change and move quickly
