Talent Management Specialist

Our client, a leading global organization within the manufacturing industry is looking for a Talent Management Specialist to work in their Aurora office. The Talent Management Specialist, reporting to the Director, Global Talent Management will work to implement regional talent management strategies, policies, and processes that drive the achievement of our strategic objectives and maximize human potential across the organization.  This role will be responsible for assisting in succession planning, development planning, talent programs, performance management and talent analytics.

Responsibilities: 
  • Support, identify and develop internal talent management strategies, identify gaps and plan processes to support business initiatives including succession planning, identifying talent and creating talent programs
  • Administer the succession planning process and maintain up-to-date succession planning information as required
  • Maintain talent information from global and functional talent review meetings in the Talent Management System
  • Prepare for and conduct talent calibration meetings
  • Support career development for individuals identified in key positions
  • Manage Talent Pools, including the development of individual plans for top potentials and support development
  • Identify succession gaps and translate data into insights and potential talent actions
  • Support ongoing data management, maintaining relevant data privacy legislation
  • Collaborate with PD&T System Administrators/Regional Talent Management Specialists to create talent reports and metrics
  • Coordinate the communications and execution of the performance management process
  • Collaborate and support recruitment process to build a talent pipeline of quality internal candidates
  • Provide insights to help our management make better talent decisions and reinforce culture as it relates to selecting, evaluating, developing and aligning talent for future success
  • Collaborate with Group Subject Matter Experts to diagnose current and future business needs related to talent management strategy
  • Continue to evolve best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness of talent processes including: competency models, assessments & selection, performance management, succession planning, development planning, talent programs, and workforce planning

Requirements:
  • 5-7+ years of work related experience including knowledge of Competency Models, Development Planning Processes, Coaching and Mentoring techniquesProficiency with MS Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Excellent networking and relationship management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective and efficient time management skills
  • Able to work well individually and also with a team
