Senior Benefits Administrator

The Talent Company is pleased to be partnering with a purpose driven services organization that supports families. Our mandate is to help recruit a Senior Benefits Administrator for their office in Downtown, Toronto. 

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Benefits this will be an integral role on their Benefits Admin Team. This will include:
  • Supports the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of benefit programs 
  • Provides benefit support to all functions of the Benefits Team by operating as a subject matter expert and liaison between all functional areas
  • Collaborates with benefits team to influence strategy, develop and manage benefit program initiatives, processes and implementations 
  • Supporting system and process improvements
  • Liaises with internal client groups and external providers to identify opportunities for improvements including act as a key resource in the development and execution of changes 
  • Project management for a given initiative
  • Train users on any new processes/functionality. Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation for use by all stakeholders

Requirements:
To successfully step in to this role you will have:
  • Bachelor's degree/Post-secondary education (preferably in a business, financial or accounting field) 
  • Strong analytical skills including ability to work with large amounts of data and ability to look at numbers, trends, data and come to conclusions based on the findings
  • Proven ability to work both independently and in team setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of personal computers and relevant software programs
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, knowledge of Vital Objects benefits administration software or similar software solutions considered an asset 
  • Strong communication skills, ability to articulate and write clearly, easily communicating complex ideas
