Disability Case Specialist

The Talent Company is partnering with a Canada's leading provider of integrated community healthcare to recruit for a Disability Case Specialist. This individual will provide input into training on innovative approaches to treatment programs, will support the effective management of complex and challenging files, and will ensure effective, timely and successful execution of services in order to provide excellence in customer experience. You will be responsible to facilitate a proactive file management process that is well documented and produces consistent, durable outcomes for complex files. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Complex File intake and the Quality Assurance team.
  • Ensure KPI’s (timelines, outcomes and satisfaction) on all national contracts are reviewed and reported on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Oversee and audit quality assurance for specific contracts within the complex files segment on a national basis.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to ensure objectivity and adequate data to support clinical opinions and recommendations.
  • Participate in and support the intake process with our stakeholders and intake teams, ensuring client needs are met regarding specific clinical skills or experience.
  • Communicate with referral sources to clarify questions or program requirements and/or meet SLA requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for new services based on the needs of the complex file presented.
  • Provide input into the development and training process to address knowledge gaps in case management, reporting and complex file management.
Requirements:
  • Bring 3+ years’ experience in a Case Management role within an insurance environment.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of case management concepts, strategies and principles to manage complex, challenging cases in a proactive way.
  • Ideally hold a degree or diploma in a health related field.
  • Be an influential communicator and exhibit exceptional communication skills – verbally and in writing.
  • Be results oriented.
  • Be goal-oriented and a resourceful problem-solver.
  • Show demonstrated ability to plan and organize multiple case files within a portfolio.
  • Bilingual (English/French)would be a definite asset
