The Talent Company are pleased to be partnering with a global financial institution to hire a Compensation Director.

Based out of their downtown Toronto office, the Compensation Director will be responsible for:
  • Leading the advisory role for an assigned line of business on compensation philosophies, programs, policies and plan designs;
  • Partnering with Business Leaders and HR Business Partners to provide them with the knowledge, programs, processes and tools to ensure effective decision making;
  • Design and manage a broad range of compensation programs including base pay, STIP/LTIP, sales compensation and other variable incentive plans;
  • Lead annual cycles including review, analysis and communication;
  • Apply current knowledge of internal and external market, regulatory requirements and organizational objectives to design and maintain programs that align with overall strategies and best practices
  • Lead and/or contribute to a broad range of projects including process improvements, systems/tools development, improved governance and improve the overall effectiveness of the compensation function.
To successfully step in to this role you will have:
  • Compensation expertise that encompasses a broad range of compensation programs including Executive, non-Executive and sales incentive plans.
  • Design experience including market research, statistical analysis and business case presentation. Experience designing sales incentive plans is preferred.
  • People management experience. Preference given to candidates who have managed Managers/Supervisors.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability advise, partner and influence decision making.
