The Talent Company are pleased to be partnering with a leading Canadian financial services organization to recruit a Senior Compensation Consultant for their global compensation team.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Compensation Consultant will play a significant role in the delivery and administration of compensation programs, including:
  • Providing end-to-end administrative, analytical and advisory support related to a wide variety of compensation programs for a specific business unit;
  • Leading year-end activities (merit review, STIP & LTIP processes, liaising on performance, etc.);
  • Participating in job evaluation and job levelling activities;
  • Analyzing internal and external market data to provide the business with value-added insights and recommendations;
  • Developing new or enhanced compensation programs, policies, tools and processes to support continuous improvement initiatives and to leverage emerging trends;
  • Providing expert advice, counsel and direction in support of short and long-term strategic business objectives;
  • Assisting in the development and roll out of communication and change management initiatives; and,
  • Collaborating with other total rewards and HR professionals to integrate and align compensation programs and processes with related areas such as performance management, benefits and pensions, employee engagement, and talent.
Requirements:
To successfully step in to this role you will have:
  • Minimum of 5 years of compensation experience, preferably within a global or matrixed organization.
  • Strong expertise in compensation fundamentals and analytics.
  • Excellent analytical expertise including data interpretation, modeling and problem solving.
  • Advanced Excel.
  • Strong communication, relationship management and influencing skills.
  • A CHRL and/or CCP designation is an asset.
