Marketing Director

The Talent Company is pleased to be partnering with our client, a rapidly growing manufacturer and provider of health products that are in search of a Marketing Director. With an office located in Downtown Toronto, this role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

They are looking to hire a Marketing Director who will lead the marketing efforts for their brand. Primarily, this involves developing and implementing our go to market strategies and providing strong cultural guidance and creative collaboration with our small marketing team and rapidly growing organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluating and developing our marketing strategy and marketing plan.
  • Overseeing, planning, directing, and coordinating marketing efforts.
  • Communicating the marketing plan.
  • Researching demand for our products and services.
  • Working with sales department to develop pricing strategies to maximize profits and market share while balancing customer satisfaction.
  • Identifying potential customers and complete competitor research.
  • Developing promotions under strict regulatory guidelines
  • Understanding and developing budgets and finance, including expenditures, research and development appropriations, return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
  • Compiling lists describing our offerings while building brand awareness and positioning.
  • Developing and managing advertising campaigns.
  • Supporting sales and lead generation efforts.
  • Coordinating marketing projects from start to finish.
  • Organizing company conferences, trade shows, and major events.
  • Overseeing social media marketing strategy and content marketing.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing, specifically in the Consumer Product Goods (CPG) industry, and experience running a marketing team.
  • Proven program activation experience.
  • Strong skills in writing, time management and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets.
  • Professional and proactive work ethic.
  • High competence in project and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with digital marketing formats such as social media and content marketing.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
