Compensation Consultant

The Talent Company is pleased to be partnering with one of the largest financial institutions located in Downtown, Toronto for a Compensation Consultant position. 

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Compensation, you will be accountable for:
•To support the Compensation Relationship Manager in providing compensation support for assigned business groups. Provides analysis, advice and governance to help ensure that compensation programs support the business’s strategies and compensation policies, including competitive pay for competitive performance. 
• Proactive and ongoing market research, analysis, and advice
• Maintain a current knowledge of market information with regard to compensation trends, levels and job matches.
• Compensation Program Design
• In conjunction with the Compensation RM, provides advanced analytical and other project support in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of compensation policies and programs for assigned business groups. 
• Such activities will include readiness assessments, market knowledge, financial modeling and costing projections, preliminary recommendations, and preparation of presentation materials. 
• Programs for review will include base pay, incentive pay and other cash compensation initiatives. 
• In consultation with the Compensation RM, responds to inquiries from HR business partners. Proactively identifies and escalates to the Compensation RM any issues identified that present risks or opportunities to the organization.

Requirements: 
To successfully step in to this role, you will have: 
• Knowledge: Undergraduate degree with 5 years’ analytical experience in compensation. 
• Knowledge of financial services would be a strong asset.
• Expert proficiency in Excel and Access
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint
• Well-developed analytical and communication skills
• Experience in survey design and analysis, statistical analysis, program design
• Innovative, organized, self-starter, capable of managing multiple assignments simultaneously
